A lifestyle blog with a bit of a twist.
Do you feel a little stuck? Scared? Boring since becoming a mom? Welcome! You are in good company!
Hi there, new friend! My name is Mary and I realized something about myself recently. I have become pretty boring since having kids. Well, By boring I mean, I don't do things for my own personal growth as much now days. I can't think of the last time I stepped out of my comfort zone. Now I am on a journey to continually learn new things, try new things, and then write about my experiences. I hope that you will join me on this adventure of exploring unboring!
Fine print: Obviously, I am a mom and will blog about plenty of "mom blog" topics as well. But only when it is unboring (insert winky face).
Who Are You?
I am so glad you asked! My name is Mary Huggins and I am a 29-year-old mom of 3.
In a nutshell, I am an oversharing, kind of awkward, outdoors-loving mama. I am not the mom that has it all together, but I am the mom that seeks to obey and glorify God in everything. I am continually striving to my best and improve... Hence the blog about lifelong learning and getting out of my comfort zone. If you know about the enneagram, I am a 9w1. And that wing 1 part is preeeeetty strong.
About the Fam
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Josh. Josh is Mr. carpenter extraordinaire, tech & design wizard, and a rock climber. I aspire to be half as interesting as him one day. I had 3 cuties in the span of 4 years. Samuel Theron is 6, Henry Beckett is 5, and Molly Elizabeth is 3. I have been a stay-at-home mom, part-time working mom, work from home mom, and entrepreneur. I am choosing full stay-at-home mom for this season and this blog serves as my creative outlet.
Some unboring things about me: I ran my first 2 half marathons last year; I used to clean tour buses for famous people (if you are going to be a maid, it might as well be for the famous, right?); As a family, we paddleboard on our local river every pretty Saturday. We just relocated to Chattanooga.
Some things I love... interior design, being outside, books, jazz music, stand-up comedy, anything old, words, plants, psychology, paddle boarding, running, and wine.
Starting a blog has been a dream of mine for a while, but a combination of fear and not knowing what to write has held me back. I am not magically unafraid now, but I am ready to do it afraid because the comfort zone is getting pretty uncomfortable.
